Veridien Corporation is a Health Care Company
focusing on Infection Control and Healthy
Lifestyle Products. Veridien was founded
in 1991 in St. Petersburg, Florida to develop,
manufacture and distribute a new generation
of disinfectant and antiseptic products.
Veridiens patented Viraguard®
(formerly marketed as Virahol®) formulation
kills harmful infectious pathogens in clinical,
residential and industrial environments,
while not harming those who use our products.
That formulation has been recognized as
an environmentally compatible and highly
effective solution for the disinfection
of hard inanimate surfaces, under its Environmental
Protection Agency (EPA) disinfectant registration,
as well as being a safe and effective hand
sanitizer, under its Food and Drug Administration
(FDA) Drug Listing as an OTC topical antiseptic
product.
The patented Viraguard® formulation
utilizes Isopropanol (Isopropyl Alcohol)
in its optimum concentration, combined with
other ingredients, to meet both EPA and
FDA requirements, without the need for harmful
or residue producing chemicals such as Quaternary
Ammonium, Phenol, Chlorine, or Glutaraldehyde.
A mild citrus scent makes Viraguard®
ideal for use in hospitals, private practice
offices, ambulances, police, fire and paramedic
vehicles, nursing homes and anywhere that
disinfection and antisepsis is critical.
Our registered hard surface disinfectant
line features highly effective liquid and
towelette products that qualify for the
lowest toxicity profile recognized by the
EPA, while meeting the Occupational Safety
and Health Administration (OSHA) Bloodborne
Pathogen Standard, a benchmark for products
of its kind. Recent in vitro testing of
Viraguard® has resulted in the EPA granting
new and expanded efficacy claims for the
product, including effectiveness against
the microorganisms presenting the greatest
risk to health care workers, first responders,
and the public. Viraguard® Hospital
Surface Disinfectant Towelettes constitute
a broad spectrum, one-step, cleaning/disinfecting
system that is effective against gram positive
and gram negative bacteria, including resistant
strains such as MRSA and VRE, encapsulated
bacteria such as Tuberculosis producing
Mycobacterium bovis (BCG), Trichophyton
mentagrophytes fungus, Herpes simplex, and
HIV-1 the AIDS virus. Available in its liquid
form, the product sold as Viraguard®
Hospital Disinfectant/Cleaner & Instrument
Presoak is also recognized to be effective
against Hepatitis A, B & C, Rotavirus, Influenza, Adenovirus,
Cytomegalovirus, and Respiratory syncytial
virus. The latest addition to our product
line is Viraguard® Toilet Seat Wipes,
which are available for use in
restrooms in hotels, restaurants, airports
and other public places, as well as in hospitals
and physicians offices, and other
places where disinfection is critical to
controlling the spread of disease carrying
organisms. The Viraguard® formulation is effective
against Hepatitis A, B & C.

Isopropyl Alcohol is similarly recognized
for its safety and efficacy as a topical
antiseptic hand sanitizer, complying with
the October 2002 Centers for Disease Control
(CDC) Guideline for Hand Hygiene in Healthcare
Settings. The emollient in the patented
Viraguard® formulation retards evaporation
of the alcohol, considerably increasing
the effective time for the solution to work
on the surface of the hands, while preserving
moisture, and helping to prevent drying
of the skin. The current line of Antiseptic
Towelettes and Antiseptic Hand Gel is being
augmented by the addition of a convenient
and easy to use tamper evident and childproof
antiseptic hand spray.
In 2000 Veridien acquired the SunSwipe
line of outdoor skin protectant products.
The SunSwipe Corporation L.L.C. is operated
as a wholly owned subsidiary of Veridien
Corporation and is responsible for the manufacture
and distribution of individually packaged
SunSwipe towelettes for protection
from sunburn and BugSwipe Insect Repellent
Towelettes for repelling insects.
SunSwipe towelettes are available
in SPF 15, 30, 45, Baby 45, and Sunburn
Relief. Our BugSwipe towelettes contain
a moderate amount of DEET, the only repellent
recognized and recommended by the CDC for
use on skin to protect against West Nile
Virus carrying mosquitoes and the parasites
responsible for the spread of Lyme Disease.
SunSwipe
and BugSwipe are sold in handy, easy
to use, reclosable pouches. Each pouch contains
a large, one foot square towelette saturated
sunscreen, sun burn Relief, or insect repellent.
The product line is designed for use by
families, sports enthusiasts, outdoor workers,
or anyone desiring skin protection in the
most convenient form possible. Each of the
SunSwipe products is FDA Drug Listed
and meets the requirements of the 1999 FDA
Sunscreen Monograph that is still being
opposed by the manufacturers of traditional
sunscreen bottle delivery systems. BugSwipe
is registered with the EPA.
SunSwipes are free of any oil, PABA,
or alcohol, and contain vitamins, aloe vera,
and other skin softening and enriching ingredients
in addition to a combination of government
recognized sunscreens.
SunSwipes are water and sweat resistant.
All Veridien products are manufactured and
tested in accordance with applicable FDA
and EPA Good Manufacturing and Good Laboratory
Practices.
